Last weeks in
Baia Mare have been similar to a tropical climate, very hot and raining on the
same day. And as the weather also our project is in a moment of change. The school year
ended and with it also our regular presence in the classroom and as so our work,
schedule and type of activities are changing. In the last week
of school, we were able to witness the traditions, rituals and celebrations at
the end of the school year that for me was totally new and a pleasure to be part
of. For now, it is
time to re-think and start to plan our Summer’ activities that will give us the
flexibility of time and autonomy to develop even more our own activities and to
be with the children in a different context.
What else? Since
last time I wrote about my experience here, I could fulfill a little more one
of the aspects that contribute to my decision of coming to Romania, that is
traveling. As passionate about travel as I am, I went to enjoy the Easter
Holiday in Istanbul and Sofia and a long weekend in Athens besides exploring
more Romania.
At the end of
May, the MidTerm Evaluation Meeting happened and with it, I realize, by contrast
to the personal share of other volunteers in Romania, how lucky I am with my
project, organization and all the people involved in it as well as the fact
that I am enjoying all the aspects of this experience.
At this moment, I
am also considering my future options with a lot of ideas in my mind and some
tasks in need to complete to be able to pursue my personal best options.
I believe this is
all by the moment,
Ne vedem!
